MD7 Laser Remote Methane Detector

The MD7 laser methane remote detector is a device that combines transmitting and receiving units into a single structure. It works by sending a laser beam to a distant reflective surface, which shines above the possible leak point. The receiver then receives the feedback signal for calculation and processing. The MD7 design is based on the TDLAS principle, which means that the molecular structure of methane has specific absorption properties for light of a particular wavelength. If there are methane-air masses on the optical path, the emitted laser light will be partially absorbed. The receiver can detect the optical signal in proportion to the number of air mass molecules on the optical path, thereby accurately and quickly calculating the cumulative concentration of methane and triggering an alarm if necessary.

For example, it is an ideal place to use at the gas pipeline-interface or where the valves are concentrated. This detector is suitable for methane leakage detection. When the concentration in a closed space is greater than 4%·M, the maximum concentration tested by the remote sensor is the total value. The telemeter can also be installed on the adjustment stand, which is suitable for users who want to expand functions.
